There’s 15 great reasons for you to start writing articles, we finished discussing about the first 5 good reasons in my previous post.

Onwards to numbers 6 until 10!

6th Good Reason: Attract Free Publicity

Your article could be just the start of something great! Imagine being approached by a number of interested authors who might want to use your article for their own purposes. And that could happen to you especially if they like it a lot and find it useful.

7th Good Reason: Provide Useful Content to Thousands

I believe there are already millions on the Internet everyday, scouring for valuable information. As of last count, there are around 20 million + Facebook users and around 5 million + Twitter followers. If that’s any indication, then there are literally millions logging on in the Internet. If you’re one of those providing useful content, you are likely to be unearthed and discovered soon enough.

8th Good Reason: Transform Your Articles Into Saleable e-Book

The more articles that you write, the easier for you to compile a collection that will eventually form part of your very own e-Book! We all love free stuff, having a free and easy to download e-Books are a great source for additional opt-in subscribers in your mailing list. It’s just one of many good reason to start writing articles!

9th Good Reason: Provide a Sample of Your Expertise

When you write an article and provide useful information, you are putting forth an air of expertise in your niche as a go-to person. And once they start to consider you as a valuable resource person, there is a big possibility that they will follow you.

10th Good Reason: Build Creditability

People dealing with other people online aren’t really easily trusting. They could at first be skeptical and unsure whether or not they should proceed especially if you’re trying to sell them something. Usually, it would take not once or twice but around 5-7 times of exposure to you and what you offer or represent that will eventually prod them to trust you enough to purchase something from you.

The last 5 good reasons for you to start writing articles will be available in my next post! Share your thoughts by leaving a comment below. If you enjoy reading this post, please feel free to share, re-tweet, or bookmark! Thank you!

Whenever i try and think of doing a first 5 of anything, i think of basketball, a line up with formidable players on the front line. Most of the time, the coach chooses the best representative from the different team players – forward (power and small), center, point guard, and shooting guard – to jump start the team to victory.

Of course, the first 5 varies from play to play and you just have to rely on the coach’s foresight or wisdom by not questioning his decision in how he chooses the players to match up with the opposing team. Everybody assumes that he really knows what he is doing after having studied every move of the other team.

Which brings me to the first 5 good reasons to start writing articles.

We have established last week that there are 15 good reasons to start writing articles and as I am eagerly awaiting for your comments to add to the list, let me just rundown on the first 5.

1st Good Reason: Increase Your EZine Subscriber Rate

It’s the simple rule of physics, actually. The reaction automatically increase whenever there’s an increase in stimulus. When you start publishing more articles in Ezines and other websites, you will have more and more readers who are going to read your articles.

2nd Good Reason: Encourage Free Publicity

The determining factor here is: opt-in. You shouldn’t aim for free publicity everywhere; what you should be aiming for is free publicity on the right sites.

3rd Good Reason: Improve Search Engine Ranking

It goes without saying that articles help in optimization in search engine rankings. It is important that you develop valuable content so that your article can be classified as helpful information.

4th Good Reason: Keyword Enrich Your Articles

I’ve written a good number of articles that emphasize the importance of targeted keywords in articles so you might want to check it out here. The operative word here is “targeted.” You should use targeted keywords for your ideal audience so that your article can be easily found.

5th Good Reason: Soft-Sell Your Products and Services

Soft-selling is indirectly leading your prospects to you without being too blatant about it. First, you should provide them with something they will find useful (your articles) then you direct them to your website discreetly using the article’s resource box where they can opt-in and be part of your email list.

There’s a lot more good reasons for you to start writing articles in my following post.

Let me just say that I was inspired and at the same time, motivated, by Marcus Baker’s recent post, “Motivated Versus Inspired Blogging,” to proceed and continue with my topic about writing articles.

(Thanks, Marcus! I believe that this can also be a continuation to your discussion on inspiration vs motivation! :) )

From where we left off, I talked about keywords, especially long-tail keywords or narrow keywords as opposed to short-tail keywords or broad keywords, to jumpstart a writer to get things going. One you’ve zeroed in on the keywords of your choice, you can probably start writing articles with less effort and with ease. Based on my experience, using this technique has really helped me especially when you are cooped up to a particular topic, just like a horse wearing a pair of blinders, it’s field of vision is limited to what’s in front of it that way it won’t be distracted so much by unimportant things that could make it loose it’s focus. You just go on straight ahead! No more unneeded twists and stops or wasted movements.

Additionally there is one question that hasn’t been answered yet, and that is: why do you want to begin writing articles in the first place?

There will always be some people who are not that enthusiastic about writing articles that could boost traffic to your site. If you’re one of them, it’s high time that you take a look in my Speedway notes, where the author enumerated 15 good reasons to begin writing your articles today:

The landing page generally is the cause when traffic does not convert. In other words, if you want your traffic to give you results and if you want to ensure that your product sells or you get more leads, then writing a good landing page is important. So how should you make sure that the copy for your landing page will get high conversions? We will discuss this.

Prepare Your Copy for the Screen: Before you begin creating your landing page, you have to determine where your copy will go, how it will be developed and the areas that you will focus on the most. Do not forget that your landing page will be viewed by computer and not on a sheet of paper. So use a sheet of paper and create a rough draft of your landing page. This is so that you have a good indication of what you will be doing before you start. Determine where the design elements will be placed, where the text will be displayed and how the buttons will be positioned. You have to be clear on how much of your content will be seen above the fold of the screen. This will be the first thing your visitors can view when they arrive on your landing page without having to scroll down the screen. Doing this preparation will give you the required clarity and make it easy for you to write your landing page when you actually get down to doing it.

Apparent Call to Action When a visitor gets to your landing page, they are still trying to find out about your offer. It your responsibility to make them understand and get then to the call to action. You must give them all of the details of what they need to do. Do not think that your visitors will figure out what to do on their own. They will not know what to do. You can do this with either graphics or a text link. Just be certain that the call to action is not ambiguous. If you have a short landing page, then put a minimum of two call to actions on the page. If your landing page is much longer, then it would be okay to put five calls to actions on the page. This is one of those areas where you’ll be testing your copy extensively in the future, after the headline. Keep in mind that you can have awesome written copy on your landing page. But, if your call to action is not as obvious as it should be, then your efforts will go unnoticed.

Focus on the YOU: Remember that you visitors are not concerned about you, your company size or how much you work on this offer. When a reader arrives on your page, then it is all about them at this point. So make sure you’re writing for the second person, and not for yourself. Every we word that is on your landing page must be changed to a you word. This is so that you speak about the accomplishments of your readers and not yourself. Utilize plenty of you and your words instead of us and our words. The number one thing that your readers will want to know is, “how will this help me?” Just making this little change can get you more conversions in a short amount of time.

There are various reasons why a landing page fails to convert. But one of the well known ones is that it is not persuasive enough. Utilizing the suggestions that you picked up from this article will help you to produce a more successful landing page.
