Finding Buyers For Your Small Business Ideas Articles
Finding Buyers
Step 2
There are three reasons for writing articles but only one goal. The reasons are to send visitors to your site through article links, create backlinks for the search engines, and to establish yourself as an authority figure in your market. These are all things that need to be done and articles can accomplish each. The one main goal is to sell your products, to find buyers. To accomplish this you will have to target buyers in your Niche. This is easier than it may sound.
When I say buyers I’m talking about attracting large numbers of visitors to your website I’m talking about attracting people who have a need and who’s need you can supply. These are people who are looking for something and ready to buy it when they find it. All you have to do is find the buyers and then wave your product in their faces.
Finding buyers can be easily accomplished using Google’s Keyword Tool. Simply go to the keyword tool, once there type in very broad search terms. These are terms that encompass a wide range of products and topics. In the case of working from home you would use terms such as:
home based business
work from home
Multi level marketing
small business ideas
work at home jobs
work at home business
Insert these broad terms in the keyword box, fill in the Captcha, and click Get keywords. A list of appx 200 new keywords will appear. In this list will be a box filled with blue. If the box is full the term is very compettitive and one you can leave alone. The rest explains itself. What you are looking for are keywords with less competition and 1000-3000 searches for month (from either column).
Looking through the list i came up with from above is scarry, all the terms are highly competitive. So I click the ones that fit the above criteria, less competitiev and 100- 3000 searches a month. I then click add and these terms are placed on the right.
In this case i chose:
marketing work from home
assembly work at home jobs
new work from home
work at home small business
work from home mlm
These words show the people are looking for something specific. They’re not just tire kickers, they want something that will work for them and are ready to buy. but the terms are still very competitive so I go to the column where the words were added and click “Get more related keywords”. This brings up a whole new list. In addition to the above words I now have:
small business startup ideas
unique business ideas
business from home mlm work
low cost business ideas
work at home moms business
moms business ideas
startup business idea
ideas for a small business
business idea start up
These keyword terms are mlooking better because they are showing terms that have action to them and are specific. If i can not find terms that reach my criteria and specifics quickly I will continue this search as many times as it takes to come up with a good number of keyword terms that have a good number of monthly search terms and a lower number of competition. doing this one more time I came up with some very good terms that fit better than expected.
Now to really check the competition. I put each term into a Google search and see what shows up. If a term comes up with mostly authority sites, ones like yours that are selling simular products then my competition will be tough. On the other hand if sites like about.com, ezinearticles.com and the like dominate the first few positions I have a winner. These sites are sitting on top because of the sites aithority in the general market. Not because they have optimized their pages and became an authority on the specific term itself. These sites are not hard to beat out, not like they would seem to be.
Do the above using as many starting broad terms as you like and repeat until you have a good size list of terms that meet your criteria. Then check the actual competition to see what sites you would be running against. Narrow your list down to the top 5 keyword terms. These will be the terms you will use in article writing.Dont throw away the rest, save them but use these first.
